Listen for Lorain native Jaclyn Bradley’s shout-out to Danny Bonaduce tonight, when she plays songs from her new CD, Lost Angeles, at Jac’s. Part of the album chronicles the singer-songwriter’s two-year stint as a personal assistant to the Partridge Family star. Other sections deal with her frequent appearances on his reality TV show, Breaking Bonaduce. “At first, it was intimidating,” says Bradley. “I never thought I was that mindful of everything I do when I have cameras following me. But I had nothing to hide. I said, ‘Let’s do it.’”

Bradley’s can-do attitude is nothing new. After graduating with a classical-music degree from Indiana University in 2001, she moved to New York City — 10 days before 9/11. The attacks, she says, inspired a huge batch of songs. “It was the first time in my life that I didn’t feel like I was in control,” says Bradley. “In the midst of this war zone, my guitar and I found a happy medium.” In 2003, Bradley relocated to L.A., where she juggled hostess and singing gigs. Her résumé eventually ended up in Bonaduce’s hands. “L.A. is where I grew up and became a woman,” says Bradley. “I also learned that you never know what’s around the corner in L.A. Every day is an adventure there, and the CD is my musical diary.”
