You’ve got a few more days to check out Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Song and Dance at the Beck Center. The Tony-nominated musical — a collaboration between the performing arts center and Verb Ballets — features a pair of stories that have only a tenuous thematic connection. The first act is essentially a one-woman show about a young Brit who moves to New York. The songs chart her ups and downs in both love and career. The second part spotlights a ballet called Variations, which tells the story of one of her boyfriends. The entire production is co-directed by the venue’s respective artistic directors — Beck’s Scott Spence and Verb’s Hernando Cortez, who turn the potentially disjointed piece into a fluid, flawless work.
