What began as a small menu addition at Tiro Tavern has escalated into a full-fledged annual Testicle Festival, an event for all kinds of nut sack connoisseurs to be held again this year, May 9 — 10.

Last year’s Testicle Festival was full of entertainment, beer and, of course, testicle fries. And, if nuts just weren’t for you, the local Volunteer Fire Department sold hot dogs (which was still pretty fitting to the overall theme).

This might not be an event for the easily squeamish, but if you’re curious about what nads actually taste like (which is apparently similar to liver, not chicken), save the date and get ready to have a ball (or two, or three).
