Watch out for the lady on your right at tonight’s Rolling on the River casino event; we hear she plays a mean hand of blackjack. Michelle Wohlfeiler, special-events director of the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland (which hosts), plans to bring her dad for a little card action too. “He’s good at poker,” she says. “For me, blackjack is the easiest to understand.”
Throughout the evening, gamblers play poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps using “funny money.” Winnings go toward bids on hotel packages, restaurant gift certificates, spa treatments, and autographed Cavs and Tribe memorabilia. Losers can lift their spirits with hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine, and listen to the Knock-Offs play a bunch ’80s and ’90s cover songs.
