When the Bulgarian State Opera rolls into Playhouse Square tonight with its production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, don’t expect to see some newfangled take on the classic. “Our company doesn’t like to make it more modern,” says tour manager Marya Glur. “It’s a classical production.” Still, the 1786 comedy about a day in the life of a count, a countess, and some very horny supporting characters remains a timeless piece. Slapstick and mistaken identity never go out of style. Neither does Mozart’s score, which features some of his most popular music. “It’s genius,” says Glur. “It’s music people know very well.”
