Despite owning a pair of college degrees, Michael Mack chose stand-up comedy over advertising. Ive wanted to do this since I was a kid, he says. Growing up in Florida, Mack continuously worked the creative side of his brain. I always wanted to be a musician or a magician or a ventriloquist, he says. Anybody onstage fascinated me. At first, he picked up a guitar, but when that didnt pan out, he wrapped all his failed efforts into a stand-up show. These days, he talks about his old girlfriends, gets the audience involved in his act, and riffs on Billy Joels Piano Man by using audience members as the songs characters. I basically point people out and make fun of them, he says. Thats a lot of fun.
