One thing the Cleveland food scene doesn’t lack is good burgers. I don’t think you can really be a midwest foodie town without good burgers all over. So what better way to find the best ones in town by heading over to Yelp?

Bearden’s 19985 Lake Rd., Rocky River “Happy 71st Anniversary to Beardens. A staple burger restaurant that is so old school with modern flare. I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings and a drink. The smoked Gouda cheese is my favorite. So why not get that. And some BBQ sauce. That’s it, nothing else. And let me tell you. It was amazing. I’m sure some of you would like more. But I like my burgers with minimal toppings. The onion rings were fresh and perfectly cooked. I ordered a large order. And I wish I had ordered two orders. Mmmmmmm is a great word. The root beer was perfect too. Actually, everything was perfect,” Eric D. on Yelp Photo via Bearden’s Rocky River/Facebook
Fresh and Meaty Burgers 13187 Cedar Rd., Cleveland Heights “Just had the Royal burger delivered. I added cheese which is a must to complete this double burger with a fried egg, bacon, and a bit of chili. Wow, were the two patties large and juicy! The cheese and fried egg and bacon really took this one to great heights despite,” Amy J. on Yelp Photo via Fresh and Meaty Burgers/Yelp
Local West 7400 Detroit Ave., Cleveland “At first glance we were not going to enter but they have a parking lot which is a major plus around that area. Boy are we glad we stopped. Awesome awesome burger I just got a plain burger and my hubby got a fancy big something burger (maybe Murv). This will be one of my go to burger places. We watched the two guys preparing our burgers and they were like little artists. They paid such attention to the presentation. So not only delicious but expertly prepared. The fresh cut fries were great. We will be back and back again. Thanks for a great experience,” Stephanie N. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
Stevenson’s Bar and Grill 800 East 200th St., Cleveland “Great burger! Seasoned well and I really liked the special sauce! Service was pretty fast and very polite! Definitely would come back for a second time. I got the “lil fella” and added bacon to it. The special sauce was on point! Fries are hand cut and amazing so don’t skip out on em. Overall a solid bar for a burger and a beer,” Amber H. on Yelp Photo via Stevenson’s Bar and Grill/Facebook
West Side Market Cafe 1979 West 25th St., Cleveland “Amazing burgers and fries, perfectly cooked and fast service also. Place is directly connected to the market so it’s convenient to be able to shop right after,” Jacob Y. on Yelp Photo via West Side Market Cafe/Facebook Credit: Photo via West Side Market Cafe/Facebook
The Tavern Company 2299 Lee Rd., Cleveland Heights “Everything on the menu is great but you can never go wrong with any of their burgers. The MO burger is my personal favorite. Smoked mozzarella, caramelized onions, and mushrooms on a handmade bun. Life is great when eating that! The Veggie burger is excellent as well. It is made in house, served with greens on-top, a great aioli and a handmade multi-grain bun. It’s a beautiful thing!” Mee Gon S. on Yelp Photo via The Tavern Company/Facebook
Nano Brew 1859 West 25th St., Cleveland “Best place to grab a burger and a brew in Cleveland hands down. Also has a great patio to enjoy the wonderful weather. Ive tried a good number of their burgers and have been consistently pleased. They also have a ton of appetizers that seem worthwhile. Great spot to start off your night. Will go back again soon,” Vibhu C. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
Good Company 1200 West 76th St., Cleveland “I love this place. My favorite wings I’ve ever had, they fall off the bone, lots of awesome flavors, I usually go with with the hot and pecorino. Burgers are incredible too, house made buns put them over the top. Hidden gem destination spot in Cleveland,” Christian T. on Yelp Photo via Noble Beast Brewing Co./Facebook
Betty’s Bomb Ass Burgers Food Truck “Great food. They came to out neighborhood and did not disappoint. We had a bomb ass burger and a sterling burger and both were absolutely delicious. The service was spectacular as well. If you see them, definitely give them a try,” Jason Z. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
Voodoo Brewery 2279 Lee Rd., Cleveland Heights “We stopped here for a bite pre concert. It’s got a great funky artsy vibe. I love the decor. Our whole party ordered burgers. It took a while but they warned us when we ordered and we were out to have fun anyway, no hurry. You order at the bar (fill out your choices on tabs supplied at your table) and pick up At a window at the back. Burgers were fantastic. I ordered the Angus on a wheat bun, lettuce, tomato and Cajun sauce. Tender, juicy. Yum with fresh cut fries. Tasty indeed,” Deb B. on Yelp Photo via Noble Beast Brewing Co./Facebook Credit: Douglas Trattner
Black Box Fix 25359 Cedar Rd., Lyndhurst “The Railroader Burger is so damn yummy!!! I’m not usually into burgers, but I tore through this one. The cat also wanted some and he’s pretty picky with food 😉 Was well worth the wait!” Paige A. on Yelp Photo via Black Box Fix/Facebook
Deagan’s 14810 Detroit Ave., Lakewood “I love this local stop for brunch, lunch or dinner. They have the best burger deal in town on Thursday’s. A decent Bloody Mary bar on the weekends and their happy hour prices are respectable. Stopped in today for a light brunch and enjoyed the Bloody Mary bar while my husband enjoyed a nice selection of a vegan breakfast. I have been many times and they never disappoint with their nice selection of bourbon and beers. If you need a spot for a small party, check them out,” Patty M. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
The Annex Bar and Grille 36200 Pettibone Rd., Solon “I’ve been going there since the late 70’s. And it’s still one of the best cheeseburgers around. Seriously thick and done to your liking. And they double fry the fries, need I say more! Friendly place, friendly folks behind the bar. Beer and shot of the month. It’s just a great old place to go to,” Mark S. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
Noble Beast 1470 Lakeside Ave. East, Cleveland In a quieter part on the city on the edge of Downtown sits Noble Beast, one of our favorite breweries in town. Their Imperial Cookies and Milk Stout is a real standout, as is their Catchweight Kolsch. Photo via Noble Beast Brewing Co./Facebook
Landmark 11633 Clifton Blvd., Cleveland Taking over for the Clifton Diner, Landmark completely renovated the physical space and the menu. Simply Greek 33700 Aurora Rd., Solon “We’ve been waiting for years for the big opening in Solon after the Bainbridge location closed. Totally worth the wait. Great food and amazing staff. Everything I have ever ordered was fantastic. The burger is probably the best I have ever eaten,” Mark D. on Yelp Photo via Simply Greek/Facebook
Gunselman’s Tavern 21490 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park “Yum yum yum. This is one of my favorite local treats. I love how they have expanded their patio which made it super easy for us to get dinner here. Their menu has great burger options and no matter what the choice you can’t go wrong. I left filled and satisfied and even happier to know this delicious burger didn’t break the bank,” Dana H. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
Tremont Taphouse 2572 Scranton Rd., Cleveland The Tap House serves up some of the best bar food in town so it’s no surprise that they knock the fish fry game out of the park. This gastropub serves up battered cod with of course some creative sides like jalapeno hush puppies and a house slaw. Photo via Scene Archives
Brown Bag Burgers 25853 Brookpark Rd., North Olmsted “I have had a lot of hamburgers during the course of this college trip week. But definitely, Brown Bag tops them all. The bread is sweet and the quality is superior. The bread is “dried” not soaked in the grease coming out of the hamburger. A bun where you can actually spread your favorite toppings, unlike other places I reserve to mention. The place is a typical fast food but serving atypical fast food quality. The shakes were dense with real ice cream, highly recommended,” Jose H. on Yelp Photo via @BrownBagBurgers/Instagram
Char Whiskey 19337 Detroit Rd., Rocky River “I think amongst all of us we tried every drink on the drink menu – all exceeded expectations, and there are so many whiskey flights to choose from and i got to try so many whiskeys I hadn’t had yet. The lobster mac and cheese was definitely the favorite, and the char burgeris super unique and totally instagram worthy and tastes as good as it looks! Being born and raised in Rocky River and coming back years later to find a really high quality restaurant like char in my hometown makes me super proud.” Kevin B. on Yelp Photo via Char Whiskey/Facebook
The Rail 17885 Southpark Center, Strongsville “My wife and I came to the rail this evening for an early dinner. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Country grilled chicken sandwich and my wife had a burger. We had sweet potato fries and onion rings for sides. Both sandwiches were excellent. The sides also did not disappoint. The Rail is definitely a “go-to” place for me in the future. I also liked that the manager stopped by our table to check on our dinner….nice touch,” Grigori M. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
Heck’s Cafe 2927 Bridge Ave., Cleveland “Best burgers and fries in Ohio. Fairly good beer list with rotating drafts. My favorite burger is the Greek burger but I’ve had almost all of them and they are all fantastic. Meat is cooked exactly how you order,” Marissa S. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
Rowley Inn 1104 Rowley Ave., Cleveland ““Yum!!! Sure it’s worth going to for a shot and a beer, but please make sure you stay for the food! The Rowley Inn is nostalgic, “hip”, charming and a tourist’s dream all rolled into one….my mom had a mushroom cheeseburger, perfectly grilled with way too many fries, but that’s okay, they were delicious…” – Melissa J. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
Johnny’s Little Bar 614 Frankfort Ave., Cleveland “This burger looks simple but is one of the best burgers I’ve had across the country and it’s served in a divebar. If I’m ever back in Cleveland I will definitely stop and enjoy this burger again along with the onion rings,” Chad S. on Yelp Photo via Scene Archives
