The Cleveland-based Stone Pony Band pays tribute to a pair of New Jersey rockers at House of Blues tonight. The group performs some Southside Johnny songs in its set, but the bulk of its show comes from Bruce Springsteens vast catalog. Were not trying to be Bruce or Southside, says frontman Kelly Derrick. There are other bands out there who try to dress like them. What we try to do is capture the spirit and energy of the music. Expect to hear Bruuuce! classics like Thunder Road, Badlands, and Rosalita. Says Derrick: We want people to feel like they had one hell of a time.
