Looking for orchestra concerts?

On Friday, March 28, Anthony Parnther leads The Cleveland Orchestra and percussionist Massamba Diop in Marvel Studios’ Black Panther with Ludwig Göransson’s score performed live to picture. (7:30 at Severance Music Center. Repeated on March 29 at 8.) Tickets available online.

And on Sunday, March 30 Cleveland Women’s Orchestra celebrates its 90th anniversary in Mandel Concert Hall. Eric Benjamin conducts music by Margaret Brouwer, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, and Dmitri Shostakovich. (3:30 at Severance Music Center). Tickets available online

On Thursday March 27, Cleveland Uncommon Sound Project presents a double-header with Weston Olencki and Jennifer Torrence, followed by Aurie Hsu and Steven Kemper (8:00 at Calicchia Gallery Studio). Free.

On Friday March 28, Wit’s Folly explores The Wondrous World of Carl Maria von Weber with period clarinets (7 pm at Bath Church, repeated March 29 at 7 at Praxis Fiber Workshop.) Free.

Also on Friday, the Cleveland Museum of Art presents The Oblivion Project performing Astor Piazzolla’s nuevo tango (7:30 in Gartner Auditorium. Tickets available online.

On Saturday March 29, M.U.S.i.C. – Stars in the Classics presents A Spring Cabaret: Music of Immigrant & American Composers. (4 pm at the Church of the Western Reserve.) Tickets available online.

And on Sunday March 30, She ROARS! celebrates Chamber Music by Living Female Composers with composer Elizabeth Start, pianist Elizabeth Etter, and the Black Squirrel Winds. (2 pm at The Bop Stop.) Free.

Looking for a more intimate experience?

On Thursday March 27 The Cleveland Orchestra hosts Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes in music by Edvard Greig and Geirr Tveitt, plus Frédéric Chopin’s 24 Preludes. (7:30 at Severance Music Center.) Tickets available online.

And on Sunday, March 30, St. Paul’s Great Performances presents former Westminster Abbey organist James O’Donnell. (4:00 St. Paul’s Episcopal Church). Free.

If vocal music is your thing:

On Friday, March 28 Baldwin Wallace Conservatory Opera stages Jacques Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld (8 pm, at the Kleist Center. Repeated March 29 at 3 and 8, and March 30 at 3.) Tickets available online, with live stream available.


And on Sunday March 30, Choral Arts Cleveland sings the world premiere of local composer Mickey McGroarty’s Stray Birds (3 pm at The Cultural Arts Center at Disciples Church.) Free.
