@cal head 1:To Your Health
@cal deck:You dont have to be in shape to join this 5K — but it helps.
@cal body 1 no indent:Todays fifth-annual Cornucopia Natures Bin Run/Walk at Lakewood Park is all about eating — and staying — healthy. And youre never too young to start, says spokeswoman Mary Johnson. For the first time, kids are invited to participate in the 5K and one-mile jog, which takes you on a course that winds through some of Lakewoods best views. Its such a nice time of year, says Johnson. Hopefully, it will also be a nice crisp morning.
@cal body 1:Johnson points out that while the event is a contest, participants can walk, stroll, or sprint at their own pace. Plaques go to the speediest runners, but everyone snags a commemorative T-shirt at the finish line. Theres also a buffet waiting there — stuffed with organic goodies like cookies, bagels, and juice. The benefit is seeing the results, says Johnson. We just want people to get up and moving. It all starts at 8 a.m. at Lakewood Park, 14532 Lake Road in Lakewood. Fees range from $2 (for kids) to $20. Call 216-521-4600 or visit www.cornucopia-inc.org for more information.
