Has Carl gone soft? Will Cleveland survive?

What’s happened to Carl Monday lately? The “Dean of Cleveland Investigative Reporters” has made a career out of a trenchcoat, a microphone wielded like a baton, and the ingratiating persistence of a frantic chihuahua. His specialty: turning petty stupidity or lewdness — like, say, cranking it in a library — into high crime. All in a day’s work for the grand master of sensationalism.
But one look at Monday’s recent workload suggests that Monday’s going soft.

  1. I’ve admired Carl Monday’s work so I was hoping I could interest him in taking a look into the inhumane activities of the family court system in Stark County, Ohio. The rights of our family were violated from start to finish. My daughter wasn’t offered an attorney. They claim they sent us mail but we never received it. They secretly plotted to take permanent custody without prior notice to the family. I haven’t seen my grandchildren in 2 years. Neither has anyone else in the family. I’ve tried everything but they will not allow us to speak. The children have been deprived of their right to pursue happiness.We’re all destroyed. And we do not deserve it. No abuse was alleged. I’m sure that we could have won the case if we’d been given the chance to fight, but we never were.

  2. On 1/23/08, I thought I had the perfect case for “Action 19..everywhere.
    At 7:30 P.M. on 1/22/08, I was driving on Snow Rd. near the airport, headed out for dinner. Destination was the Canary restuarant on Puritas. I turned north on Rt.237, stopped at the red light atop the hill by the airport entranceway. On green, accelerated to gain the 50 MPH merge speed at the bottom. Just as I got through the underpass, near the 5 or 6 lane merge, I spotted an object 15 feet ahead across my lane. With no where to go, except to hit another adjacent car or go out of control to avoid it, I had to hit it. It was 8 in. high, by 5 ft. wide, and 5 ft. deep across the lane. Turned out to be 2 massive stake sides off of a heavy duty landscape truck, ratchet strapped together, that had fell off a truck and landed on top of each other. It shredded everything off my car below the bumper – $3000. damage. I immediately called Brook Park police to apprise them about the object’s need for urgent removal. A squad car was in route, as they had previous call or calls. There was also some “jurisdictional” questions.
    As busy as that area is, someone HAD to see the truck lose this load. This seemed to me to be an ideal public service opportunity for the media, the goal of which, besides my own aims, to let such scofflaws know they can’t get away with such irresponsible actions. I and others could easily have been killed.
    The call screener at “19” said it’s not the kind of story they would do, “Why she stammered, if we ran that, every one in an accident would call in.” Translation: not sensational enough.
    I also called Carl’s number a couple of times – got no response. He was doubtless busy skulking around the court house restrooms, or perhaps…do they have a law library down at the courthouse ? (-;
    As well, one must consider that there was no “carnal” elements to the story, as would be requisite for Carl’s attention. (-;
    To be fair, I called channel 5 as well. Result…they WERE NOT “On my side.”
    So much for public service….

  3. Has anyone heard about the tv show that “Bad Boy” John Albrecht is doing? I heard that Carl is doing a story about it.

  4. The City of Cleveland apparently went in bed with big business and circumvented the constitutional due process for the residents on East 63rd street in 1997. As the result, most homeowners were driven out of the area, some just abandoned their properties, and the remaining ones are being terrorized with a forced sleep deprivation at night in their own homes.

    Carl Monday was asked to cover the story. He never even responded. The same goes for Scott Taylor, and some other so-called “investigators.” Welcome to Cleveland, where dirty dishes seem to be more important than human lives.

  6. We are trying to get a hold of Carl Monday concerning our juvenile court system in Canton, Ohio. How our children can commit felonies and have there cases dropped not once but at least 7 or more times teaching our children pretty much that they can get away with anything. My husband and I have uncovered some very disturbing evidence that were sure you would be interested in, and honestly we could use your help. You can contact us by E- mail at chrislee205@gmail.com,or by phone 330-854-9208, ask for chris. Thank you.
