A Canton native, writer Johnny Ray Miller followed the Partridge Family television program and the group's recorded music from the very beginning. A concert and theater producer, actor and director, Miller also has worked on Desperate Housewives, Rules of Engagement, Kings of Queens, CSI: New York, E.R., Cold Case, Without a Trace, The O.C. and others. He also just published his first book, When We’re Singin'. It chronicles the Partridge Family from its inception through the final season and features more than 100 interviews. It's reportedly the first biography of the Partridge Family to treat the group as a legitimate band. Tonight at 7 at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Library and Archives, Miller will read from and sign the book. Admission is free with a reservation. (Niesel)
