Written by Cleveland-based playwright Cynthia Dettelbach, GERMAN LESSONS focuses on Jurgen Klaus,a manufacturer of crucial airplane parts in Nazi Germany. After a series of troubling incidents involving his Jewish employees, Jurgen decides to help them, leaving his marriage and the lives of a Jewish family hanging in the balance. Presented as part of Playwrights Local’s Roundtable Series, a new development workshop focused on public readings of plays in progress. All readings are free and open to the public.
