The good thing about holiday art shows is that you can often find good gifts while checking out our local talent. Tonight at Winter White Out Exhibit, some 23 local artists who work in a variety of mediums (glass, fiber, wood, clay, paper, metal) will be on hand to display their work in a restored 1850s log cabin. Pat Bakos will show off gemstone trees, Barbara and Stephen Bloom will have soaps, jewelry and hand dyed silks, and Cathie Gordon will display her primitive rug hooking. That’s just a sampling of what you’ll see at the Log Cabin Gallery in Peninsula. Today’s hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the exhibit will be on display until Dec. 21. (Niesel)
