Based on the novel of the same name by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Half of a Yellow Sun centers on two sisters who return to their native Nigeria only to experience the outbreak of the Nigerian civil war. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Onyeka Onwenu, Genevieve Nnaji and OC Ukeje star in the film. It first screened in the Special Presentation section at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival; it makes its Cleveland theatrical premiere tonight at 7:40 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque.
