  1. I’m so confused by this. There are no bakery names listed in any of the pictures and the photo credits are from Blackbird Backing Company. Is that supposed to be “baking” company?

  2. What are the 11 pastry shops? The slideshow had no information. Useless article without the information.

  4. Did anyone drone Scene actually sample these shops or are they just listing the most popular, and most trendy places? The best cassata cake in the area is actually at Barona’s in Maple Hts., and no mention of Mazzone’s on Clark and Fulton for the best lady locks, bread and pizza is a disservice to the reader.

    Then again, according to Scene and most of their posts, if the establishment isn’t located in Tremont, Ohio City, Gordon Square, Waterloo, Lakewood or some other trendy locale then it’s clearly not the best of anything.

    Stop being lazy.

  5. Lydia’s Hungarian Strudel Shop should absolutely be on this list! The strudel is truly amazing and I love that they have been in business for more then 75 years. They hand stretch and make everything from scratch!! Highly recommend Lydia’s on Stumph Rd in Parma Heights.
