“I am all about collaborating with other makers — I believe we’re all stronger working together,” says CLE Urban Winery (2180 Lee Rd., 216-417-8313) owner Destiny Burns.
The Cedar-Lee winery recently has launched an expanded wine-friendly food menu to pair with the housemade offerings. Beginning February 1, those offerings will include Saturday and Sunday brunch, with the winery opening the doors at 9 a.m. Burns will provide savory food items such as breakfast sandwiches, soup flights, dips, cheese and charcuterie boards, and toasted sandwiches.
Rocky River-based Bigmouth Donuts (19265 Detroit Rd., 216-282-8228) will provide the sweet side of the menu. Owner Kelly Brewer says that guests can expect a dozen different varieties of raised brioche donuts, filled brioche donuts and fritters, including vegan and gluten-free varieties. Those products will be available for dine-in or carryout enjoyment.
To pair with the new brunch items will be a menu of coffees, teas, mimosas, Bloody Marys, wine cocktails and others treats.
The collaboration with Bigmouth is expected to run until spring.
