Cleveland Beer Week, the non-profit celebration of all things craft beer, kicks off tonight with the popular Off Shore Pour aboard the Lady Caroline. Attendees can look forward to an evening cruise around Lake Erie while sampling nearly two dozen different craft brews. The voyage takes place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
But tonight’s lake cruise is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of Cleveland Beer Week events. More than a month of craft beer-related events are being held all over town that include keg tappings, beer pairings, tasting dinners, brewer meet-and-greets, educational events and more. All of these happenings benefit various local charitable causes.
Other signature events include the Cleveland Heights Neighborhood Crawl, which takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday October 10. Attendees can sample new and special releases at many of the bars, breweries and restaurants that fill the Cedar Lee neighborhood.
The Pumking Halloween Poker Run, which benefits A Special Wish Northeast Ohio, takes place from 2 to 10 p.m. (two sessions) on Saturday October 18. Ticket holders check in at Southern Tier Brewing and sip their way through the Gateway District building a poker hand. Participating shops include Southern Tier, Butcher and the Brewer, Jolene’s, Society Lounge and more.
Celebration of the Hops, which celebrates all things hoppy, takes place at Fat Head’s Brewery in Middleburg Heights from noon to 9 p.m. (two sessions) on Saturday, October 25. More than 30 different local and regional breweries will be pouring samples. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Cleveland Beer Week events page.
