Culver’s is setting up shop in Northeast Ohio for the first time, bringing along its signature lineup of ButterBurgers and frozen custard treats. The Wisconsin-based fast food joint is slated to open in Avon sometime this spring.

With more than 600 locations across the country, including a handful of restaurants near Columbus and eastward, the spot is a popular destination for families and old people … okay and everyone else, too. Those cheese curds and burgers don’t eat themselves.

The new freestanding store is set to be located at 1439 Center Road near I-90,  according to Avon Planning Commission records.

  1. We’re stuck with Culver’s in Wisconsin. Food is overpriced, which you might not mind, but they never get your order right. Expect to have several items you’ve paid for never quite make it into the bag.

  2. Culver’s is not an exciting addition to the Northeast Ohio food scene. Only in Wisconsin do the locals think it’s normal to put butter on a burger.

  3. Culver’s Butterburgers are a never frozen patty on a lighty buttered and toasted bun. The butter is on the bun not the burger.
