There have been multiple Michael Symon spottings around town lately. He recently popped up on Market Avenue by Great Lakes Brewing Co. He paid a visit to Karen Small’s Flying Fig. His presence was documented at Butcher and the Brewer. Heck’s in Ohio City reported a visit by the Iron Chef. And he checked out the barbecue at Oak & Embers out in Chesterland.

What we did not know was what behind the visits.

Well, now we do. Symon has been tapped to head another Food Network show, this one titled Burgers, Brew and ‘Que. Judging by the name…

When it debuts this July, BB&Q (hmm) will take Symon on a summer road trip through Cleveland and other cities as he samples the best of what’s out there.

Here’s the official statement:

“Meat lovers rejoice! Michael Symon is taking a summer road trip to taste the best of the American classics: burgers and BBQ. Whether it is mouth-watering, mile-high cheeseburgers or slow smoked, fall-off-the-bone ribs, Michael is going to eat and meet his way through some of the best All-American spots to get your grub on. And, what better way to wash it all down than with local beers and brews, sure to make any meal a perfect 10.”

  3. Wow!!! People are ignorant…..maybe that’s why the rest of the country has such negative thoughts about cleveland……Hey Whorehey….what have you done for this city???

  4. I agree, Whorehey! Had the Luther burger at B2B and it was the driest piece of hockey puck I’ve ever had. It was seriously inedible. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave the a second chance. Again, same overcooked flavorless burger. You want a good burger from a place who is consistently good… never had a bad burger in the dozens of time I’ve been there… try the Flipside in Hudson. The best burgers in Cleveland hands down!
