Walsh worked in Cleveland’s inner city during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and in El Salvador in the 1990s before moving back to Akron where she “advocates for immigrants and provides a home for those in need at the Catholic Worker houses she co-founded.” The film focuses on Walsh, but it could be about any of the countless unsung heroes among us who “quietly lead lives of devotion and service” and “choose to treat strangers like family.”
The film will premiere at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at the Highland Square Theatre in Akron. Admission is free.
