The L.A.-based pop/rock band North of Nine came through town last night to play Aloft Hotel as part of the hotel’s Live at Aloft concert series. The guys literally flew to Cleveland from Los Angeles for the gig. A mix of pop and rock that sounds a bit like Maroon 5, their hit “Can It Be You?” has gotten some traction on commercial radio. Former American Idol judge Randy Jackson manages the group, something they talk about in this interview we did backstage before the band’s performance.
