In the wake of “Let It Roar,” a “terribly great/greatly terrible music video” by former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes that recently went viral, the folks at VH-1 decided to rank the most “awesomely terrible heavy metal videos” of all time. Cleveland’s Alternate Reality made the cut. Their music video for “The King That Never Was” came in at No. 10. We reached out to band leader Steven Delchin for comment. “We’re honored to be on the same list as such legends as Kiss, Rush, and Judas Priest,” he says. “It’s amazing that our low budget video shot at Squire’s Castle continues to entertain. I guess this is one way to put Cleveland on the list! The only disappointing part is that we’re only the No. 10 worst video of all time on VH1’s new list. I guess it’s time to make another video!”
