Concert Photos: Speedy Ortiz and Cleveland’s Own Napsack at the Rock Hall

Napsack, the Cleveland-based band which released a seven-song album in 2021, opened for Speedy Ortiz at the Rock Hall, giving the crowd a mix of garage pop and rock for 40 minutes across 10 songs. Making sure to thank the fans who showed up early and the Rock Hall for the opportunity, the band sounded wonderful.

Then it was time for Speedy Ortiz, one of indie rock’s most dynamic outfits.

Led by singer-songwriter Sadie Dupuis, the New England-forged band has created some of the most terrific, textured rock songs of the last dozen years. Its latest album, last year’s Rabbit Rabbit, takes bold but consistent steps and turns up everything vital to Speedy Ortiz’s music. It’s also the first album to feature longtime touring members as full contributors.
