Cowboys in the Campfire, a side project for former Replacements bassist Tommy Stinson and guitarist Chip “Sippy Fly,” promises to play “new songs, old songs, maybe even some make-’em-up-on-the-spot songs in all sorts of places with as few instruments as necessary” for their current tour hitting a handful of Midwestern independent record stores and barber shops.

A press release announcing the jaunt, which includes a July 28 stop at Blue Arrow Records, also states “you never know what friends might be joining the Campfire along the way.”

The Blue Arrow performance will begin at 6:30 p.m., and tickets range from $20 to $100.
