- “Woo! Phish! Somewhere in there!”
That Phish show you probably heard about a week ago has finally been confirmed.
Live Nation officially announced today that the reunited jam band will play Blossom Music Center on June 12.
After a five-year hiatus, Phish returned last year with a new album, Joy (another blah studio effort), and a few gigs, including a Halloween concert in which they performed the Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main St. in its entirety.
The band’s summer tour is hitting some favorite venues, including Blossom, which it last played in September 2000.
We can’t even begin to guess what the set list will look like, since Phish mix things up every time they’re onstage. You might hear some Joy, you might not. Maybe you’ll hear a cover song or two. Or a vacuum-cleaner solo.
Either way, you’ll probably want to be there, because there’s no telling if this reunion is a temporary or permanent thing.
Tickets are $50 and go on sale April 3 at 1 p.m. You can buy tickets at livenation.com, at Ticketmaster locations or by calling 800.745.3000. —Michael Gallucci (follow me on Twitter @mgallucci)

Break out the barf bag — another “blah” cliched effort to preview a Phish concert.
When will you guys understand that there is no need to write a preview for this band when they come to town? Anyone who gives a damn already knows where and when the show is going down. So that leaves you writing this for people who don’t care or don’t get it. That means this is moot. I’d recommend putting your journalistic energy elsewhere.
^^
give this guy a hand.
and seriously loose the bong/patchouli/hippie cliches. Every writer does this when talking about phish and its fucking annoying
