Eric Carmen, the awesome-haired former Raspberries frontman, pleaded no contest yesterday to drunken driving and failing to control his car. He’s been sentenced to a month in jail.
Carmen, who lives in upscale Gates Mills, plowed his car into a fire hydrant last September. His blood-alcohol limit was nearly three times the legal limit. “Make Me Lose Control” indeed!
The singer — who also had huge solo hits in the ’70s and ’80s with “All By Myself” and the Dirty Dancing smash “Hungry Eyes” — will begin his jail stint on April 25, says a Bedford Municipal Court judge.

Not funny.
No wonder the Cleveland Scene is all you write for.
Sorry you didn’t grow up to be a real reporter.
There is nothing funny about drunk driving. Maybe you just lost control yourself with your keyboard, I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

I’m sorry this happened to you, Eric….I’m happier that no one got hurt or worse. I know hard times makes us do crazy things, but please use better judgement especially for your wife and children. As a fan, I love you and I pray for you. Take care, stay safe and God Bless.
