No fewer than 62 shows to choose from this week, and Spring isn’t even here yet. Former teen punk queen Avril Lavinge is gonna rock the Wolstein – go ahead, try to act like you don’t like “Girlfriend.” Blues fans, Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express is bringing B-3 action to Nighttown. And Broadway’s Bernadette Peters brings her one-woman show to Playhouse Square. Click “MORE” for a full, annotated rundown. – D.X. Ferris

  1. So you Like Tom Waits or Dylan
Then join us at Wilberts on Huron for the Darrin James Band with Colin John and Cliff Starbuck from Acoustic Hookah opening up.
Darrin James is from NYC with a new CD out, Thrones of Gold, being compared to Tom Waits by critics across the country. In fact Colin Stetson of Waits’ band played on the CD as well as Dan Jenelsohn from Dub as a Weapon.
$6.00 cover show starts promptly at 8:00 P.M.
