After opening just over a year ago, Wax Bodega, a Lakewood record store located just down the street from Mahall’s 20 Lanes, will close on Saturday.

The owners made the announcement yesterday on the store’s website.

“We loved being a part of this tight knit community but an opportunity arose that we simply cannot pass up, so our little family (Dylan, Lauren & Kyle) has made the tough decision to relocate,” they say in the post. “We will be exploring all of our options to relaunch the Wax Bodega flagship store in a new location, but until we find the perfect space, we will continue selling your favorite records online alongside our monthly subscriptions.”
