Referencing acts such as the Beatles, Kinks, Billy J. Kramer and Gerry & the Pacemakers, the group formed a couple of years back. It just released its self-titled debut EP earlier this year, and the EP received some airplay on Little Stevens Underground Garage.
Now, the group has just finished recording a new Beatles-esque single, “Big Pink Escalade.”
The infectious track comes out on July 23.
“The retro-soaked jam reaffirms the duo’s commitment to paying homage to the first wave of 1960s-British Invasion rock,” reads a press release about the infectious tune. “Complete with jangling 12-string guitars and surrealistic lyrical storytelling, this rocking jam might just be the band’s best yet.”
