The ’90s were a great time for music and fashion. Grunge was popular (Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” is the decade’s unofficial anthem) and as a result so were flannel shirts. Of course, by decade’s end, boy bands had become hugely popular and ruined everything. In order to pay homage to the ’90s, locally based Cattitude Vintage is hosting “Groove Is In the Heart: A ’90s Dance Party” on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Mahall’s 20 Lanes in Lakewood. The dance party starts at 10 p.m. but Cattitude Vintage will be on site at 8 p.m., so you can arrive early to buy an outfit. Junkyard Royalty and Rust Belt Fairy Co. will also be on hand to sell handmade crowns and accessories. DJ White Rims (Darryl Dickerson), MC Uster (Marcia Custer) and WRUW’s Rachel H (Ravage Hunt) will provide the tunes, and Mahall’s will serve up special ’90s-themed cocktails for the evening. Admission is only $1.

I hear this is a great place to score high grade weed at really a low price.
