Kickstarter.com is a site filled with a plethora of interesting inventions, bizarre projects, and artsy ideas. Anyone can start a project and ask for funding, but it’s up to site visitors to decide which projects deserve a donation and which projects don’t.

Past Cleveland-based projects have spanned a variety of areas. Sometimes, they help the community, like Jonathan Sawyer’s project to fund their new restaurant, Trentina. Sometimes, they’re tech-savvy, like this water-measuring shower spout device designed by Case Western students. Sometimes, they just poke fun at the city’s sports teams through a depressing coloring book.

Here are a handful of other awesome, ongoing Kickstarter projects based in Northeast Ohio. Which ones are your favorites?
