Winter Storm Chud has really worked its magic on the streets of Cleveland this week – namely, in the form of Browns fans opining on the topic of the team’s future. Who shall lead us into More Of The Same?

A trio of 10-year-olds are advocating for former OSU head honcho Jim Tressel. It’s a cute enough video, and certainly more worthwhile than the rest of the city’s trite navel-gazing. One local journalist even started cracking jokes about the coaching situation, as if it were a laughing matter!

Leave your informed suggestions for the Browns’ new head coach in the comments section below.

  1. Not even a browns fan but tressel would bring myself and 95% of the state of ohio and surrounding areas to browns nation.. not only a good hire on the field but off of it was well. who was the last coach???? i dunno so no one can scoff at this..

  2. As a fan seriously considering jumping ship, I think Jim Tressel would rally support around the new future of the Browns!

  3. You know they might be kids, but the thinking is sound! But then Banner only wants to hire his buddies. Banner might be a good bean counter, but he sucks at football knowledge!

  4. Tressel? As Browns Head Coach?

    OK.

But if they hire any of THEM (ESPECIALLY Tomlin, Cowher, and Roethlisberger; I WILL NOT support THE ENEMY) in ANY capacity, I’m DONE as a Browns fan.

  5. I would just like to see them actually keep someone for awhile to have time to develop a good team. How is that supposed to happen with a new coach and style every year or two?

  6. Football is too expensive and the stadium has no dome. Cleveland has lost it’s mind by allowing a losing team and a non-dome stadium in Cleveland. Who is making these stupid decisions anyway? Who can afford to actually go see a game with their children in a seat remotely even close to the field? NO Single Parent Can EVER… unless the parent works for a corporation that gets free tickets or a family member has bought some season tickets. I resent professional sports requiring one visit to the stadium costing nearly $500. just to eat, park and watch a game–As far as I’m concerned, the money is better spent helping the poor get out of the frigid cold and making sure that they have food…we could even open a hotel for homeless for a fraction of the cost of running that stadium and offer training and everything-I love Football, but the Cleveland powers that be just don’t impress me in a positive way at all…

  7. Joe Banner is the Associate Head Coach, so the hire will be a yes-man or he will end up like Chud.

  8. I am glad I am a Bengals fan. The Browns & fans continually get f*@#ed over because bean counters (not coaches) make decisions fans dk about. If the Browns left no one would care.

  9. I thought Tressel wasn’t allowed to ever coach any football teams. I say bring in Mike Shanihan ( not sure about spelling).

  10. I left Ohio for job opportunities in 1986. My parents still live in Southern Ohio and I still consider it my home. The teams I support are Patriots (my kids were born in Boston), Steelers (cause my husband’s family is nuts about them) and Carolina (because that’s where we’ve lived the last 18 years. But I’d even become a Browns fan if Tressel came to coach!

  11. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these girls! Not a huge football fan, and have all but given up on the Browns at this point, BUT sometimes you need to listen to our younger generation!

  12. I’ve been saying Tressel since the Buckeyes lost him!!! I think he could take us all the way!!!

  13. Well if that Idiot Modell would not have taken the team out of Cleveland in the 1st place the Browns would not be in this mess so I want to say hell with the Modell family and the Ravens, but the Browns organization is in disorder and lost and these 3 girls have raised a smart and quick fix to the problem and one that will bring this team back to the Browns being in the AFC Championship every year like they were in the 80’s, remember those years people the real “Cardiac Kids” I was a browns fan till they were stole from us I have been a Panther fan since 1995 but if they brought in Tressel I would come back to the Dawg Pound of the browns.

  14. I’m a die hard fan and I agree with the girls we need an upper level management change as well plus two big name wide receivers I’ll never give up on my squad no matter who they pick but they are making hard to be a loyal fan

  15. Jim Tressel has a huge popularity among Buckeye Fans, Browns fans, and even professional players and coaches. Those who like him always state specific reasons for their desire for him to go to the next level. (And not simply because “he wears a sweater vest!” What kind of sense does that make?) And if Jimmy (Haslam) wanted to increase the stock value of the Cleveland Browns, well there is instant money because Buckeye Nation alone is so large. and if you do your reseach you will know that Jim Tressel is not just any other college coach, because his history is tied to the Browns all the way back to Paul Brown. Tressel is probably the only one of those who could be considered to coach the Browns who would look Jimmy Haslam in the eye and say, “I will prepare my guys to beat the Rooneys and the Steelers!” But the most important consideration for Jimmy Haslam is to hire someone who will continue the all important link to the original Cleveland Browns. No one could fault him for trying to do this. In fact the NFL would probably support his choice. Finally, while building on tradition, could Jim Tressel do any worse than what we’ve had for the last 15 years?
