Every year around this time, Laura Kosa-Thomas, a thirtysomething stoner from Lorain, emerges from smoke-filled obscurity to promote the Cleveland Weed March, an annual cannabis fiesta that mirrors similar events in other cities around the world.
She calls on Scene to promote her event because, as she puts it, the paper’s readers “know how to party” — a pitch as solid as any we’ve heard.
So here goes: The Cleveland Weed March takes place on Public Square this Saturday, May 1, at “high” noon. Festivities will include a march around the Justice Center and a “Weed Olympics” featuring feats of endurance like the bong relay.
According to Kosa-Thomas, the event is all about enjoyment and not the politics of pot. “Live your life the way God wants you to live,” she says, delightfully stoned out of her soul. “Nobody is walking in your shoes. So if you got it, smoke it, bitches.”
And if you don’t got it, she promises to have “a little something special” to share come Saturday.

So there you have it folks. This person has been discredited by the movement a while back now. She grabbed up “names” and proclaims she is a leader when nobody is following her nor is she working on any legislation. NORML has always been about politics and NOT about smoking pot on the square so she has twisted the entire effort. I would not doubt that she is a plant to make any legalization effort nil.
So I guess if you want to get beat up like she has threatened me then show up and march, otherwise wait at the park where it ends where her former peers will call the proper number to have her physically removed from the event. Come one come all and see this person discredited publicly once and for all.

Again dear readers, we can see the instability of these two people that are in charge of the march. Violent threats against people that they invited to their event.

Folks, while I saw firsthand the “redirection” yesterday by this lady, it seems to me that you’re using a lot of energy that could be better directed toward the movement. If years of retail has taught me anything, you don’t spend all day trying to convince the window shopper to buy… you turn your attention to those who are waiting to spend their hard-earned money.
The point is, engaging this particular person will only result in more frustration and the best course of action is to turn a blind eye and put all those efforts into spreading the word about the movement. Eventually, a person with no support and no voice gets no recognition and your problems are solved. Meanwhile, we could be building a more cohesive movement that demonstrates WHY House Bill 478 should pass and prove that we’re not all crazy, confrontational stoners… we’re intelligent, determined activists and advocates.
