Comedy Connected, the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation (OSPF) and the Cuyahoga County ADAMH Board have recruited 50 comedians to perform at Stand Up Together: An Evening Honoring Nick Ramsey, a fundraiser benefiting Ohio suicide prevention programming.

OSPF promotes suicide prevention as a public health issue and promotes “advance evidence-based awareness, intervention and methodology strategies that support priority populations and healthy communities.”

Acts slated to appear include Mike Polk Jr., Bill Squire [pictured], Josh Morrow, Jeff Davis, Dylan Lusk, John Bruton and Mary Santora.

The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. on July 21 at Lakewood Civic Auditorium. Raffle participants will have the chance to win a 2018 Ford Mustang among other prizes. Tickets are $35.

Organizers are still looking for sponsors, and anyone interested should contact Jeff Davis at Jeff@StandUpTogetherOhio.com.

Jeff has been covering the Cleveland music scene for more than 25 years now. On a regular basis, he tries to talk to whatever big acts are coming through town. And if you're in a local band that he needs to hear, email him at jniesel@clevescene.com.
