  1. I was in the area today. Police rerouted motorists so sad that people get depressed this time of year.

  2. They need to do something about the fences on that bridge maybe make them taller maybe make them curl in but there’s like 3 or 4 people that jump off that bridge every year

  3. And its messed up because someone probably saw him climb the fence and no one even attempted to stop him or anything. And at that time the bridge is packed. Some people make me sick because someone could have stopped and tried to avoid him from jumping off the bridge.

  4. All the ignorant ass comments how about u dont know what that man is or was going threw. How about i just lost my husband who was in a terrible motorcycle crash he was tbe first ever love of my life and ive thought about death more than a dozen times. Until you know what someone is going threw dont ever judge someone. God forbid it ever happened to one of your family members. Ppl are so cruel. And this is why stuff like this happens bc of ignorant ppl like u who comment ignorant things. God bless that man and his family and friends. Xoxoxo from one grieving widow to another.

  5. I don’t think it matters how tall you make a fence on a bridge , people will always find a way to climb it .

It’s just very sad this man decided to take his own life at this time of the year knowingly that he has touched so many others .

  6. May God keep each and everyone in their right mind.

  11. My dad committed suicide after the holidays 20 yrs ago…I will suffer for a lifetime. Prayers for his family

  12. He was only 19. I had just spoken to him about a half hr before this unforseen tragedy happened. There were absolutely NO signs of something like this happening. Prayers are with family especially during this holiday season.

  13. This was right next to my job, they blocked my station off and this was no laughing matter! I did not know this person or what he was going through but I’ve been sad all day! I prayed for him and his family! People do not commit suicide for no reason! Please be more sympathetic!
    God bless his poor soul!!

  14. He was from Texas and they had to call his parents to tell them their son was dead. I have a friend who actually worked that incident this morning. It’s just sad, instead of celebrating the holidays they will be burying their son.

  15. Imagine being a driver on the bridge and witnessing this incident. Or worse, being on the trail below. Decades ago, I saw a woman jump in front of a subway train. It’s something you never forget.

December is a tough time for many people, especially if you’re alone. Been there. Not fun.
