[image-1]Deputy Justin Smith of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office resigned this week, amid a handful of internal charges.

Department records (first reported on by Fox 8) describe Smith acting inappropriately during a dinner with other officers in Columbus. “At one point, he allegedly used a racial slur when talking about local attorney Geoffrey Oglesby,” according the news station.

Smith also vomited on the table and blacked out the evening’s events.

Thursday was his last day with the office. (His resignation was permitted as an alternative to termination.)

  1. Should have fired him. Resigning lets him work somewhere else. Unless the HR Department actually checks references. (Not likely)

  2. Hahaha. He used a racial slur. How many polish jokes have been told over the years? How many were fired over that. The way you behave determines how people see you. Getting called the m word doesnt make you one. Not being called one doesnt make you not one.

Act respectable and youll get respect. Demand all you want. If you dont deserve it, youre never getting it.
