Good afternoon, Cleveland. Here’s some stuff to read while you fast in preparation for the hamburger festival this weekend.

— Cleveland Heights has plans to spruce up the Cedar Lee neighborhood and is now looking for the money to do so. No truth to rumors plan simply is to ask all young black males to kindly not go there anymore. (Cleveland Hts. Patch)

— A woman from L.A. was pulled over and arrested in Solon with Jolly Ranchers that were laced with weed. In other news, there are now Jolly Ranchers that are laced with weed. (Solon Patch)

— The AKC says dog thefts are on the rise. That’s, well, that’s just too sad to make a joke about. (NewsNet5)

  1. Well now isn’t that just a bit uncalled for? “…ask all young black males to kindly not go there anymore.” Excuse me? My fiancee is what you would call a “young black male” and we both frequent the Cedar-lee area due to Ariyoshi, the japanese restaurant in the area. Neither of us cause any trouble even though we are young black people. What you said was very racist and uncalled for. Yes, a lot of the problems in the Cleveland Heights area are caused by young people and minorities, but generalizing is very wrong. There are still quite a few young people like my fiancee and I who put a lot of money into the Cedar-lee area.
