Good afternoon, Cleveland. Here's some stuff to read while you write a letter on a discarded receipt from the porch of your cardboard house explaining to Republicans that you'd like them to address the foreclosure crisis before fall.

— While attempts to deal with Ohio's record number of foreclosures had passed the Ohio House, Republicans in the Ohio Senate are tabling action on the crisis until fall. They probably just figure summer's coming up and the homeless won't mind waiting a little bit longer. I mean, they'll get a killer tan in the meantime, right? (WKYC)

— The Ohio Education Department is searching for a replacement for the state's Graduation Test. Emphasis will be on whether kids are ready to go to college or get a job. So, basically, the OED is looking for a test that simultaneously gauges whether you can fix a car and understand physics. Should be easy to find. (AP)

— Lightning strike at Belmont Correctional Institute in Ohio kills one inmate. Unfortunately, guy wasn't on death row. Was supposed to get out in 2014. Here's to hoping nature can get it right next time. (WLWT)

— Gerald McFaul faces arraignment for left. No word yet on whether the former sheriff will go to the clink because of clams. (Cleveland.com)
