Agora Theatre to Host a World Armwrestling League Competition in June

Earlier today, the Agora Theatre announced that it’ll host an upcoming World Armwrestling League Supermatch Showdown Series.

Founded in 2014, the armwrestling league has recently become increasily popular.

The contestants compete in best-out-of-five matches. Each matchup is based on style, technique and ranking. Arm wrestlers must keep an elbow on the table, and they must hold the peg with their opposite hand. One foot must remain on the floor and the shoulders must stay above the table at all times.

Some of the Average Joe contestants coming to the Agora include a GM car dealership owner, an event coordinator, a train conductor, a diesel mechanic and a nurse.

The event takes place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 14. Tickets are $15.
