Marshal Wrenn Jr. was found laying on a couch covered in blood Tuesday night, following an attack by his former roommates, Akron authorities reported.
The 52-year-old man told investigators that Willaim Mitchell and Aliyah Wiley assaulted him with a chainsaw following an argument over owed money. The saw’s blade was used to slice Wrenn’s arms, legs and hands.
Wrenn eventually escaped to a neighbor’s house and was then taken to Akron General hospital where he was treated with serious injuries. The couple, who originally fled the scene, were taken into custody after Mitchell arrived at the hospital for a cut on his hand.
The couple is charged with aggravated burglary and felonious assault. The amount of money owed has not been disclosed.

Chainsaws are too dangerous for civilians to own. They say they are using it for cutting trees but it is a loophole assault weapon that anyone can buy without a background check.
