A Barberton, OH woman was killed last night after becoming entangled in a paper rolling machine at a PPG Industries plant.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as 51-year-old Wendy Breiding.
Police say that Breiding became entangled in the paper rolling machine at around 8:30 p.m. last night. They are ruling her death an industrial accident, WKYC reported.
Paper rolling machines are known to be extremely dangerous. The are the size of a small car and have large rollers which squeeze the moisture out of the paper as it is fed through.
A few years back, a New Hampshire man was killed after literally being sucked into the machine.
Think about that horrific fact for a minute.
While it is unclear exactly how Breiding was killed, these pieces of equipment are serious stuff.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
