Raymone Clements, the venomous hulk who shot Forrest and left him for dead, is facing a second federal charge.

In a case that jumped around several jurisdictions before landing in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Clements was slapped with the charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. …Why he was not immediately charged with such a thing remains unclear, as a similar charge from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor was dismissed several weeks ago.

Via the federal prosecutor:

…on or about Jan. 17, 2013, Clements had possession of a Rossi, Model Garrucha, .22-caliber Derringer, serial number 307228, despite the aforementioned convictions.

This news joins Clements’ original federal charge of being a felon in possession of ammunition.

By the way, a benefit for Forrest and the Public Animal Welfare Society of Ohio will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 at Negative Space Gallery downtown.

  1. And, of course, the most important question here is, what is the felon doing with a gun?
