Anyone who doubts that running a small restaurant is a tough way to earn a living should talk to Michael Crowdes. The former corporate guy turned crpe maker is looking for a buyer for Le Oui Oui Cafe, his teensy Ohio City crperie originally founded by local Francophile Denajua. (Crowdes is the third owner.) After a little more than a year of wielding the rabot, his Dream is still alive; unfortunately, the bank account is on life support. Add to that an impending family illness, and Crowdes has decided to list the spot with the Westlake office of Coldwell Banker for $70,000, liquor license included; interested parties — and Crowdes says there have already been several — can contact realtor Chris Mayer at 440-892-7040.
While Crowdes says he will gladly teach the tricks of crpe making to the new owner, he promises it’s not a hard skill to master. The money-making part? That may be a little tougher. — Elaine T. Cicora
