While the alleged hoarder seemed comfortable in her home, occupying the space for the past 20 years, the animals were not so lucky.
The Wooster law director reported that the ammonia levels inside the home exceeded that of a meth lab, primarily because of the uncleaned litter boxes. Due to these unsafe conditions, several kittens died and animal cruelty charges are possible.
Unfortunately, animal abuse is not an uncommon occurrence in Ohio.

Have to wonder WHY it is not an uncommon occurrence in Ohio. Is it more frequent than in other states? And if so, what seem to be the reasons for it?
Hoarding itself is not uncommon. Gotta wonder, though, why these animal hoarders always choose cats.
