After the PR nightmare caused by Bahama Breeze in Orange Village when they called the cops on over 40 members of a black sorority, the corporate offices of Bahama Breeze did the right thing and took out the trash by firing the manager who was in charge that evening.

A majority of the guests that were targeted are members of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the largest African-American Greek-lettered organization.

The Sorors and their guests were celebrating one of their sorority sister’s impending move to California when the manager of Bahama Breeze in Orange Village allegedly racially profiled the group by calling the police, believing they weren’t going to pay their bill.

Apparently, someone had expressed frustration with how long it had taken to receive their bill and stated “I’m about to leave,” and rather than do the appropriate thing and get the guests their damn bill, the manager called the cops.

The police report does confirm that all of the bills were paid and the police were on premises for about one hour after arriving around 8:30 p.m. Police did not take any action against any of the sorority members, and the report states that one member of the party told police when they arrived that she would be staying to ensure all bills were paid.

  1. Kiss my ass, you racist wingnut troll with the 160 anonymous usernames. This is not the PeeDee site where you and the rest of your redneck hater pals hang out…the comment boards you and your lowlife GOP buddies ruined years ago. Do you really think this shit is gonna stand here? Don’t bet on it , asshat. Take your white-power garbage to Storm Front, mofo.

  2. Grizz is a racist against white people. BJ is obviously a neo-communist. This magazine is awful now. Why did they do this?

  3. How are young people supposed to get excited about living and growing in this city when this major entertainment magazine’s website leads with manipulated news stories to that increase racial tension followed by old white men arguing in the comments?

All three of your top stories are currently political and biased. You might want to examine the role our biased media plays in people’s decision not to live in Cleveland. It’s not good.

  4. If they had board moderators a and/or editors to mop up the toxic waste spills from anonymous right-wing trolls, who use dozens of names, there’d be a lot fewer arguments here, and this board would look a helluva lot better.

You are an ignorant asshat. An entertainment magazine it is not. SCENE has npt been all about music and bands and craft brewskis and foodie joints for a long, long time. They have had news stories and features and political pieces and opinions…it’s called journalism, stupid. SCENE is an “alternative media” publication that prints those things. And they lean left-of-center and progressive. Deal with it or GTFO.

If you want neutral entertainment news about clubs and bars, and where the next street fair is, and who has the best burrito, take your sorry ass to the PeeDee Friday section, for chrissakes, and kwitcherbitchin. SCENE is what it is. Like it or lump it.,

  5. This is not the first time this restaurant has been found to commit acts of racial profiling or racial harassment.

They had to settle for upwards of 1M$ in 2009 – the result of a class-action lawsuit. Just racist white people being racist white people. Welcome to Ohio.
