Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson to Play Classic Park July 11

Bob Dylan will play a concert at the Lake County Captains' Classic Park on July 11.

Dylan last played Classic Park in 2005, when he ran through a typical set list featuring oldies ("The Times They Are A-Changin'"), classics ("Stuck Inside of Mobile With the Memphis Blues Again") and songs nobody wanted to hear ("Cry A While").

Dylan's new album, Together Through Life, comes out on Tuesday, and it's rootsier than his last few drooled-over records. Los Lobos' David Hidalgo plays accordion on it, and he injects some life into Dylan's touring band, which sounds like it's just going through the motions at times.

Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp will also be part of the show, which starts at 5:30 p.m. General-admission tickets are $67.75, but if you got a little one under the age of 14 who likes Dylan, he gets to see the show for free if you buy a tciket.

Tickets for the Classic Park gig go on sale May 2 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Pre-sale tickets (through Dylan's website) go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. —Michael Gallucci
