Branson Wright's super powers

The PD's sports staff is becoming more and more like the X-Men, only they all have the same super power: knowing absolutely nothing. Branson Wright, who covers the Cavaliers, put his super powers on display yesterday with a story titled, "Jackson works hard to earn time." Wright obviously used all of his knowledgeable sources inside the NBA and Cavaliers to learn everything he could about the future of Luke Jackson, the oft-injured guard from Oregon. Based on this exhaustive research, Wright surmised that Jackson "will have several challenges during preseason." Challenge No. 1: Booking a flight to Boston. This press release just arrived from the Cavs: "The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired forward/center Dwayne Jones from the Boston Celtics in exchange for guard/forward Luke Jackson and cash considerations, General Manager Danny Ferry announced today. Cleveland also receives a trade exception as part of the deal." Isn't that something Wright, who obviously spent time researching Jackson's fate, might have stumbled upon? - Joe P. Tone
