As first tweeted by an ESPN reporter, a new husband recently received a Browns jersey-style groom’s cake with the phrase “Insert QB” frosted in the nameplate section, all courtesy of his bride.
As you no doubt know, the Browns are a miserable 48-112 over the last 10 seasons, and for the first time in franchise history, went 0-16 last season. A streak worthy of a parade in fact, which we covered here. But all the cakes and parades in the world shouldn’t distract from the simple truth that the Browns are still Cleveland’s favorite team. (Even in the face of the Indians Home Opener, fans are still focused on the Browns on Twitter.)
Adding to even more buzz in the offseason, the Browns have added their 29th starting quarterback in Tyrod Taylor, along with wide receiver Jarvis Landry and Ohio State University alum running back Carlos Hide. The Browns also again have two first-round picks in this year’s NFL Draft, No. 1 and 4 overall.
With all this new energy, a winning season could be in the Browns’ future … but it’s smart to make realistic goals. Shoot for one win perhaps, or even a cake with a real franchise-worthy quarterback’s name.

Hahahaha. I love it. Laughing stock of sports and worst franchise in NFL history
Keep buying tickets suckers
You don’t like anybody very much, do you? Betcha you don’t even live here, do you, asshat?
Actually Grizz I do live here. What’s to like about the Cleveland Browns? LOL! They are a complete embarrassment but they do provide plenty of laughs.
Now you can go play with your LeBron blow up doll.
a QB couldn’t have the number 31….18 or below people
Blow-up doll…is that all you’ve got, sonny? That’s the best you can do? What a sorry loser you are.
I gave up on the Clowns four or five seasons ago, Flopster. I no longer watch or listen to them. Ever. It hurts a lot less when you care a lot less. Try it.And I no longer care at all . They can win, lose, or leave town again .
After embarrassment comes anger. Followed by disgust. And then apathy. Once apathy sets in, and only the die-hards show up, it’s time to back up the orange truck and find a new home and new suckers. The parade proved that this town hasn’t quite reached apathy yet. But unless things change, and fast, it will probably happen soon. No wins mean empty seats and maybe bye-bye. Betcha you’d like that. You probably root for Pissburgh, right?
LeBron is getting older, Flopster. He still has a few good years left…maybe another five or six, unless he gets hurt. Once he’s gone, the Cavs will toally suck again. So I will enjoy the next few seasons and then give up on the Cavs, too. As for the Tribe, I can take either them or leave them alone, because I’m a a die-hard Cub fan. Gonna tell me to go play with my Anthony Rizzo doll now? Of course. You are the pathetic loser here, just like the Browns are..
So you are a front runner? Were you born here?
If so, being a Cubs fan makes you the ass hat
How about your boy LeBron…6-11 free throws including big miss at end of game plus 8 turnovers. He will never be the GOAT. Hopefully you will stop being a fan sooner rather than later. If James and his oversized ego leave town, you should follow.
Front runner? After one championship in 108 years, following decades of misery?
What the hell are you smoking, dude? Pass it over to me.
No, I wasn’t born here. Chicagoan, born and raised…and lived there as an adult, too.
But I’ve been here 25 years now. When do you stop being a newbie in Cleveland? Never? Ridiculous.
And here’s a heads-up: Posting while drunk or high is not a good idea. Put down the bottle or the pipe,
