With that change in our gaze comes a big move over on Lakeside Avenue: Brokaw ad agency has retired its long-running and somewhat controversial Browns QB jersey.
The Tim Couch jersey eventually carried the names of all 24 starting quarterbacks since 1999. It was a nice tongue-in-cheek gag that loomed over Sunday afternoon processions, but it’s extremely gratifying to see it shelved.
To paraphrase LeBron James: Cleveland, this is for us.
And thanks to Brokaw for knowing this town as well as they always have.
